Jesus is near! This Sunday we rejoice! In fact, this Sunday is called REJOICE SUNDAY! The candle is rose-colored: the same color as the sky, just before the dawn. Jesus is near. Rejoice!
In today's readings St.Paul tells us this: Brothers and sisters: "Rejoice in the Lord always. I shall say it again: rejoice! Your kindness should be known to all. The Lord is near. Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus."
Christmas is almost here! That is such good news. God came into the world to save us. We should be dancing and jumping around like little children!
Let us share our joy with every person we meet today: whether or not they are Christians or believe in God. Our joy will shine in our faces and others will know we belong to Jesus. Pray for those who feel sad and don't feel like rejoicing. Bring light to them, be kind, do good to everyone. Rejoice!
