I've been doing interviews for Mercy Unwrapped since November. I have talked to people who have experienced divorce, abandonment, murder of a loved one, death of a child, infertility, cancer, fear and anxiety, porn addiction, depression, multiple miscarriages, failed adoptions, abortion. You would think I'd be feeling pretty low after hearing all those stories of tragedy, but the truth is just the opposite.
Each of these people is full of joy. I can hear it in their voices. I can hear it in their words of encouragement for others who may be suffering. The message? God will turn our darkness into light if we let him in.
Over 1000 people have listened to the podcasts - people from all over the world. My prayer is that they hear what I've heard - faith, hope, and love; trust, obedience and miraculous joy. A suffering world needs this message. We all need to know that in our toughest hour, Jesus is near. I thank the Lord Jesus for this opportunity! I am certainly growing in my ability to trust God by listening to these testimonies of light and love. Now we are in Lent. What a good time to be reminded that our dry, dessert times can lead us to Jesus, the Living Water.
I am a Catholic wife, mom and grandma. In 1995, after Bible college and a few years as an Evangelical Missionary, I was received into the Church at the Easter Vigil. These are my personal musings on Scripture, prayer, and living close to Jesus.
